MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING WITH ABG SHIPYARD, DAHEJ
ABG SHIPYARD LTD has entered into a MoU with ITI, Ankleshwar on 1st day of April 2008 to initiate Skill Development Program(SDP) to equip the students with adequate and updated technological ship building know how in Fitter and Welder Trades.
ABG Shipyard shall provide the entire cost of the study material and training equipments required for the implementation of the SDP (Skill Development Program).
The SDP (Skill Development Program) is a Combination of both Theory and Practical. The Institute ( ITI ) shall at its premises in the selected branches (Fitter and Welder Trades ) impart the theory part of the SDP (Skill Development Program) in consultation with ABG, while on the job training (Practical Training) of the SDP (Skill Development Program) may be imparted at the ABG Shipyard.
At the end of SDP (Skill Development Program) and on completion/passing out of their NCVT/SCVT Certification Exam in respective trade, ABG and its Associate Companies directly and or indirectly through its agency/contractor shall have a privilege/right to select the students among those who have already undergone SDP (Skill Development Program) for recruitment as Trainee.

ITI – Ankleshwar and ABG Shipyard Ltd.- Dahej have entered in to a MOU for SDP (Skill Development Program) on 1st April’08.

MOU will cover the selected students and Trainers of ITI Ankleshwar with adequate and updated technological ship building technology in Fitter and Welder Trades.

20 Students of Fitter Trade and 20 Students of Welder Trade and ITI instructors will have growth opportunity via this SDP (Skill Development Program).

This MOU will help us providing On Job Training (practical) in Industry’s Best infrastructure and environment without incurring any investment.
Module Profile details for Skill Development Program

ITI Ankleshwar and ABG mutually designed the course curriculum for theory and practical training.(For SDP (Skill Development Program))

SDP (Skill Development Program) is an addition to regular syllabus then prescribed by NCVT.

This MOU only covers a SDP (Skill Development Program) for 2 NCVT trade namely : FITTER and WELDER
*
In total 40 (20 – Fitter and 20 – Welder) students and ITI instructor will be benefited by this SDP (Skill Development Program)
*
All the selected students of the institute in the 2nd year of the Fitter trade and 2nd half of the Welder trade shall undergo SDP (Skill Development Program) along with the and in addition to the Core Curriculum.

ABG will select the candidates for SDP (Skill Development Program) in 1st week of July-08 for Fitter Trade & 1st week of January-09 For Welder Trade.

ABG will provide or arrange to supply deficiate equipment and material reqd. for Implementation of SDP (Skill Development Program). List for both the trades has been given to Industry.

ABG will also arrange for On Job Training facility of SDP (Skill Development Program) trainee at it’s own campus.

Students undergoing this SDP (Skill Development Program) training are free to exercise the option of employment offer by ABG or it concerns.

Facilitate ABG for providing SDP (Skill Development Program) exercise addition to the regular NCVT Trade.

Framing of new syllabus according to SDP (Skill Development Program) guidelines for 400 Hrs Fitter and 200 Hrs Welder training In addition to NCVT syllabus has been completed.

Training to the ITI Traineers will be provided free of cost & arranged from 21st July-08 for 6 days.however the transportation cost needs to be bear by ITI.
